<p id=”par-3_40″>From there, he went viral, amassing a following interested in both his video game content and his music clips. The disgraced music artist has nearly 4 million followers on the platform. His content has been viewed over 20 billion times.</p>

<p id=”par-7_35″>While it remains unclear exactly how D4vd and Celeste met, online sleuths believe she was active in the musician’s Discord for months before the abuse began. D4vd was photographed in Lake Elsinore around this time.</p>

Celeste, just 13 years old, had been reported missing twice before the April incident. She was also reported missing in February 2024, months after police believe D4vd began sexually abusing the teenager.</p>

The album, considered a strong first outing, sold 30,000 units during its first week.</p>

<p id=”par-17_34″>The album was also considered a streaming success. It amassed over 500 million streams on Spotify. The artist garnered more interest after the gruesome discovery in his trunk, with millions of streams added afterward.</p>

<p id=”par-18_48″>On August 5, 2025, months after it is believed Celeste was murdered, D4vd kicked off the United States leg of his world tour. The musician played his first show in Del Mar, California. From there, he traversed the United States, with stops in more than a dozen cities.</p>

<p id=”par-19_45″>D4vd and his entourage documented the tour up until the discovery of the body in the trunk of his vehicle. From there, uploads abruptly stopped, though he did not end his tour. In fact, he carried on as usual for several days after the discovery.</p>

<p id=”par-20_53″>He played a show on September 15 in Portland, Oregon. The following day, he appeared in Seattle for another show but canceled additional legs of his tour, including a second planned Seattle show, shortly after the body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez was identified. <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/d4vd-cancels-u-s-tour-dates-is-the-international-leg-still-on.html/”>The international leg of his tour </a>was quietly axed, too.</p>

The Tesla was impounded days earlier after it violated a 72-hour parking rule in the Hollywood Hills’ “Bird Streets” neighborhood.</p>

<p id=”par-22_61″>The car was parked minutes from the rental property where D4vd was living, but he was not in California when the gruesome discovery was made. D4vd was preparing to go onstage in Minneapolis at the time. He performed that evening and at several more shows before ultimately pulling the plug on his world tour after the remains were identified as Celeste.</p>

He was taken to the 77th Street Police Station, where he was held until April 20, when he was officially charged with the murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez.</p>
