<p id=”par-1_17″>Bruce Campbell had been diagnosed with a “treatable” but “not curable” form of cancer, he announced Monday. </p>
<p id=”par-2_19″>“I apologize if that’s a shock – it was to me too,” <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/evil-dead-bruce-campbell-army-of-darkness-salary-more-original-film.html/”><em>The</em> <em>Evil Dead</em> actor</a> wrote on <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DVZvexojEFg/?hl=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-3_26″>While Campbell did not reveal specific details about his diagnosis, he did share that it would require him to step back from working for a time. </p>
<p id=”par-4_30″>“I’m posting this, because professionally, a few things will have to change — appearances and cons and work in general need to take [a] back seat to treatment,” he wrote. </p>
<p id=”par-5_34″>“My plan is to get as well as I possibly can over the summer,” he added, with the goal of being able to tour with his new movie <em>Ernie & Emma </em>in the fall. </p>
<p id=”par-6_63″>“I’m not trying to enlist sympathy—or advice—I just want to get ahead of this information in case false information gets out (which it will),” he added. “Fear not, I am a tough old son-of-a-bitch and I have great support, so I expect to be around a while. As always, you’re the greatest fans in the world and I hope to see you soon!” </p>

<p id=”par-9_19″>“Love you, Bruce. Keep the best chin in Hollywood up. We’ll never stop believing in you,” commented another fan.</p>
