Christian House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), who has said that the Lord tells him what to do, is amplifying a letter that evangelist Franklin Graham sent President Trump on October 15, 2025.
As seen below, in the letter Graham congratulated Trump on the cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, and reassured the President that if he accepts Jesus, he will go to heaven. Graham wrote: “The only One who can save us from Hell is Jesus Christ.”
Today, on Palm Sunday, Johnson added to the letter: “President Trump shared his letter from Franklin Graham explaining the only path to Heaven is through Jesus, our Savior.”

Critics of the Trump administration are responding with quotes from Roman Catholic world leader Pope Leo, who condemned Trump’s “atrocious” war in Iran, and urged leaders against using religion to justify the conflict, stating that God rejects the prayers of those who wage war.
Note: During the Pentagon’s monthly prayer service last week, Trump’s Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth — a Christian who belongs to the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches — prayed for “overwhelming violence” against “those who deserve no mercy.”
Hegseth prayed: “Let every round find its mark against the enemies of righteousness and our great nation. Give them wisdom in every decision, endurance for the trial ahead, unbreakable unity, and overwhelming violence of action against those who deserve no mercy.”
Pope Leo said: “Jesus does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war. He rejects them, saying: ‘Even though you make many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood.’”
This is aimed directly at you Trump.
