After winning his sixth consecutive Masters 1000 title at the Italian Open last week, Jannik Sinner looks unstoppable as he enters the 2026 French Open.
If Sinner wins, he’ll nab the only major title missing from his resume and complete a career Grand Slam. “It’s a very special tournament for me, and it has been increasingly better year after year, and last year we were very close (to winning),” Sinner told reporters in Paris.
Sinner took a heartbreaking loss to Carlos Alcaraz in last year’s final. After five hours and 29 minutes of play, the longest match in Roland Garros history, Alcaraz defeated Sinner in a stunning comeback, 4-6, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (10-2).

However, Alcaraz is not competing at Roland Garros this year due to a wrist injury, and Sinner is the overwhelming favorite to win.
Before the world No. 1 faces French wildcard Clement Tabur in the first round on May 25, Explora Journeys made an exciting announcement regarding Sinner.
Jannik Sinner Is Launching an Exclusive On Board Cruise Experience
Sinner, Explora Journeys’ new global ambassador, will join the EXPLORA III for a trip from Genoa to Marseille from July 24 to 25. Explora Journeys announced that reservations are officially open for guests to join Sinner on the Prelude Journey.
The Instagram post racked up thousands of likes. One fan commented, “Hello!!! I do like more information pleaseeeee.” Another person wrote, “Jannik!! I wish I were rich…”
So what will guests experience with the tennis phenom on board? “Jannik will host an intimate Q&A session and offer bespoke coaching sessions on the ship’s padel court, together with his performance team,” the website states.
“Guests will also be offered a first look at In Balance: A Jannik Sinner Ocean Wellness Programme, developed by Jannik and his team specifically for Explora Journeys. The highlight of his time onboard will be a charity gala dinner in support of the Jannik Sinner Foundation and the MSC Foundation, underscoring a shared commitment to youth development and long-term positive impact.”
While tennis phenom previously announced the “Jannik Sinner Method” workout for guests aboard the ship, the 24-year-old is actually joining guests on board, providing a whole new experience.
Jannik Sinner Considers Himself ‘Lucky’ to Enter the French Open Tired
GettyJannik Sinner is ready to compete at 2026 Roland-Garros.
After becoming the first man to complete a season sweep of the Clay Masters 1000 events since Rafael Nadal in 2010, there’s concern over Sinner’s stamina. However, he enters the French Open on a historic 29-match win streak.
“It has been a very long but very positive period,” Sinner said. “You know, I’m lucky to be in this position. I think it’s always better to be in a position where you win and you start to feel tired than you feel very good, but you lose a couple of rounds.”
The 24-year-old understands there’s a target on his back. “Everyone is trying, you know, to beat (me), but that’s also the most normal thing,” he said.
“You need to be ready. Best-of-five matches, they are a bit different. It gives you a little bit more time to understand how to beat a player, and even if you have a wrong start, then potentially you can find a way in. I’m very sure I have very, very tough matches in front of me. I try to focus on myself.”
