Marvin Harrison Jr. Has a Message That Should Have Cardinals Fans Thrilled

The 2026 season is going to be an important one for Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. After missing time a season ago with injury issues, he’s looking to come back stronger than ever.

What better way to get physically ready to go than to hit the gym? Certainly, that’s what Harrison has done, which led to the Cardinals’ social media account posting a video of him lifting. One fan took notice of that, quoting the post by saying, “120’s!?! @MarvHarrisonJr.”

Harrison himself did end up seeing that post, and he wanted to send a message to the fans. This is exactly what he’s here to do.

“Easy Work,” Harrison replied to the fan.

With a new coaching staff coming to Arizona and a new offense to learn, it’s going to take more than lifting to get ready for next season. At the same time, given how badly his 2025 season was impacted by injuries, just seeing Harrison healthy is also a sight for sore eyes.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is Looking to Build on His First Two NFL Seasons

Coming into the NFL, Marvin Harrison Jr. was seen as a generational prospect at wide receiver. He certainly has the pedigree, as the son of NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison. With two All-American selections, he lived up to that at Ohio State and became the fourth overall pick in 2024.

Harrison ended up having an excellent rookie season, playing in 17 games and making 16 starts. He also had 62 receptions for 885 yards and 8 touchdowns on the season. That was good for 14.3 yards per reception.

Those numbers took a step in the wrong direction in his second season. That, of course, was because Harrison was only able to play in 12 games and make 10 starts due to injury issues. Among those injuries were a concussion, an appendectomy, an issue with his heel, and finally an injury to his foot that landed him on IR.

Despite that, Harrison still managed to snag 41 catches for 608 yards and 4 touchdowns. That was on 14.8 yards per reception. Had he stayed healthy, Harrison likely would have put up similar numbers to his rookie season.

Now, Harrison is looking to build on the success he did have. He’ll be doing that with a new coaching staff, led by head coach Mike LaFleur, which means the hope is that it has a similar look to the offenses of Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan, who he has previously coached under.

There Have Been Calls for the Arizona Cardinals to Trade Marvin Harrison Jr.

Despite all of the potential that Marvin Harrison Jr. has, there have been some analysts who have included him in mock trade packages. That includes a recent one from Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports.

In that proposed deal, Harrison would be dealt to the Green Bay Packers. Coming back to Arizona would be the Packers’ 2026 second-round pick (No. 52 overall) and a 2027 third-round pick.

The benefit, from Arizona’s perspective, is the draft picks. After all, the Cardinals are entering a rebuild, and if they think Harrison has maxed out his potential, this would be decent value. However, if there is still a belief he can be a generational talent, then it’s hard to imagine this deal would go through.

Putting whether or not this mocked trade is realistic aside for a moment, it shows that there is a lot of thought outside the Cardinals organization about Harrison and his future. So, how he performs in 2026 could go a long way in determining what the future could hold for both sides.
