Kalen DeBoer Shares Concerning Injury Update on Transfer Wide Receiver

The Alabama Crimson Tide held its annual A-Day scrimmage this past Saturday, and while most of the news was positive, one unfortunate moment stood out.

Tide fans held a collective sigh when transfer wide receiver Noah Rogers went down with a lower-body injury in the middle of the two-hour scrimmage.

On Monday, head coach Kalen DeBoer provided an unfortunate update on the talented playmaker’s status.

What is the Status of Alabama WR Noah Rogers

Unfortunately for Rogers, the injury appears to be pretty severe, as DeBoer said he would miss some time at the beginning of the 2026 season.

“Unfortunately, he suffered an injury that’s going to take a little while to recover. It will lead into the season a little bit … he won’t be ready to go right when the season starts.”

While a firm timetable has not been set, DeBoer indicated Rogers could return at some point during the season, offering at least some optimism for the Crimson Tide offense.

Rogers is a Big Loss for Alabama’s WR Room

The injury is a significant blow for Alabama, as Rogers had emerged as a likely key contributor this spring. The former Top-40 recruit recorded 919 receiving yards during his time at NC State and was trending toward a major role in Tuscaloosa behind returning starters Ryan Coleman-Williams and Lotzier Brooks.

Now the Crimson Tide will look to younger players to step up in Rogers’ absence.

Names To Watch At WR For Alabama

With Rogers sidelined, there are three names that Crimson Tide fans should watch out for heading into the 2026 season. Redshirt sophomore Rico Scott, sophomore Derek Meadows, and true freshman phenom Cederian Morgan.

Scott is a physical presence at receiver with a solid build that makes him tough to tackle in open space. Both Meadows and Morgan are long and athletic guys who have the potential to win 50/50 balls down the field in contested situations.

All three showed positive growth this spring, but now their development has become even more important.
