Tommy Fleetwood Celebrates Major Family Milestone Ahead of Round 3 at the Masters

Ahead of his 2:28 p.m. tee time for Round 3 of the 2026 Masters, Tommy Fleetwood has another milestone moment on his mind. While the Englishman continues his pursuit of a long-awaited major championship, it’s clear that some of the most meaningful moments of his week at Augusta National have come away from the scorecard.

Fleetwood is widely considered one of the most kind-hearted players on the PGA Tour. On top of that, he has long emphasized that his identity extends beyond golf. That reputation was on full display earlier in the week. Throughout the Masters Par 3 Contest, much of the spotlight fell on his 8-year-old son, Frankie. The young Fleetwood charmed viewers. Their father-son relationship added a personal touch to one of golf’s most tradition-rich events.

Now, as the tournament progresses, the attention has shifted to another important figure in Fleetwood’s life, his son, Murray “Mo.”

The Fleetwood Family

Fleetwood and his wife Clare share a blended family of three boys: Frankie, born in 2017, and Clare’s two sons from a previous relationship, Oscar and Mo. Though Frankie is his only biological child, Fleetwood has consistently made it clear that he considers all three boys his sons. Over the years, he has embraced that role fully. He supports them not just as a stepfather, but as a devoted and present parent.

“When the five of us are together, that’s always our safe place,” Fleetwood shared during an appearance on the Fore Play podcast. His words offered a glimpse into the importance of family in his life.

Fleetwood took to social media ahead of his third round to celebrate a major milestone, one again highlighting the bond they share. Posting a family photo taken at the Par 3 Contest, he wrote, “Happy 18th Mo, so proud of the young man you are!!” The message, that included two heart emojis, reflected both pride and affection, sharing the close relationship they have.

Fleetwood has spoken candidly about how long that connection has been growing. “Particularly Mo, I think I’ve been a parental figure to him since he was five,” he said. “I’m unbelievably lucky with the relationship that we have. We’re so close.” It’s a sentiment that resonates when watching the family interact, whether inside the ropes or away from the course.

More About Mo

Like his stepfather, Mo has also developed a passion for golf. He has competed in several amateur tournaments, often alongside his brother Oscar. The pair have found success on the junior circuit. This includes a strong showing in September 2023. The two competed at the FirstPoint USA Boy’s Strokeplay event, where Oscar claimed victory and Mo finished T3.

Mo has continued to build his resume with appearances in events such as the ProDreamUSA U.A.E. Open, the Order of Merit Championship, the RAK Amateur Open, and the Montgomerie Golf Club Dubai Amateur Open. In 2024, Mo took home his first win, and Fleetwood made sure to celebrate the achievement.

As Fleetwood prepares to tee off in another crucial round at Augusta, the stakes on the course remain high. But win or lose, it’s clear that he considers the strength of his family and the relationship they share as one of his greatest achievements.
