Before leaving Congress, former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) in December wrote: “Almost every Trump voter I see on X is so fed up they are planning a 2026 tax revolt. And rightfully so!”
Greene added: “We have nearly $40 Trillion in debt, unaffordable healthcare, unaffordable housing, and the dollar loses value every day. Meanwhile the government, NO MATTER WHICH PARTY IS IN CHARGE, screws over Americans. What will it take to put the American people first???”
Today, Greene recirculated the post and added: “With April 15th approaching, it feels appropriate to repost this one about a tax revolt.”

When a “Trump 2028” supporter replied to Greene, “I know at least 10 people who are not paying their taxes this year…people I’d never think had the gumption to take on the IRS…but they are!”, the former MAGA-aligned Congresswoman replied, “Interesting. I know people not paying their taxes too. I wonder how many Americans are so angry right now that they actually engage in the tax revolt?”

[NOTE: According to the IRS, “Not filing or paying taxes results in heavy penalties, interest, and potential IRS collection actions like liens or levies. The failure-to-file penalty is 5% of unpaid taxes monthly (up to 25%), while failure-to-pay is 0.5% monthly. The IRS may file a substitute return for you, often with fewer deductions, and can seize assets.”]
Greene followed up, writing: “With over $40 billion now spent on the war with Iran, national gas costing $4/gallon, and health insurance and costs of living still out of control, I wonder how many people are going to refuse to file their taxes?”
