Two wounded in Oakland shooting

OAKLAND — A woman and a man were shot Tuesday night, possibly while driving in East Oakland, authorities said.

The 29-year-old Antioch woman and the 27-year-old Oakland man were in stable condition at a hospital. The woman was shot in the face and the man in the shoulder, authorities said.

Police have not said how the two know each other.

A woman who drove them to a hospital told police she found the victims about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in a vehicle that was stopped in the area of 98th Avenue and Golf Links Road, authorities said.

Investigators have not yet been able to do detailed interviews with the victims to gather more information and determine a motive for the shooting and any suspect information.
