A 16-year-old Pittsburg male who was shot to death in Antioch last weekend has been identified by authorities.

Police ID father of two killed outside Oakland fast food restaurant

Antioch police found Jamel Williams seated inside a car and with at least one gunshot wound when they responded to the 1700 block of Observation Way about 5:10 a.m. on Feb. 24.

Life-saving efforts by the officers and paramedics proved unsuccessful, and the teen died after being taken by ambulance to a hospital.

The homicide is the third one in 2024 that Antioch police have investigated.

Police have not announced any arrests or identified any suspects. The motive for the shooting is not known.
