Stephen Curry won’t play for the Warriors tomorrow night against the Mavericks, but he has not been ruled out of the Warriors’ next game, another showdown against a team currently slotted into the play-in tournament.
Curry, who rolled his ankle in last week’s loss to the Bulls, has been cleared to return to on-court activities and will be re-evaluated again Friday before Saturday’s game against the Lakers, the Warriors announced Tuesday.
The Lakers currently sit in ninth place, one game ahead of the Warriors in the Western Conference standings, and Dallas is 2.5 games in front of the Dubs in eighth place. With 18 games left in Golden State’s regular season, these games could prove crucial in determining whether the Warriors will get two shots at securing a playoff spot, or if they’ll be at risk of elimination in the No. 9-vs.-No. 10 game.

The Warriors just won without Curry for the first time in five tries this season, beating the Spurs in San Antonio on Monday night, two days after losing to them in San Francisco.
Of course, the clearance to return to the court is not a guarantee Curry will play Saturday.
Following Saturday’s game, the Warriors will return home to face the Knicks (March 18), Grizzlies (March 20) and Pacers (March 22) before heading to Minnesota and the Southeast.
