Oakland: Police ID Walnut Creek man shot and killed in neighborhood

OAKLAND — Police here have identified a Walnut Creek man who was shot and killed in East Oakland, about an hour after two others were wounded in a shootout.

Terrill Millhouse, 36, was killed by at least one gunmen on the 1700 block of 28th Avenue, on the evening before last Thanksgiving, authorities said. Police have not announced any arrests, but say that Millhouse was in a dispute with his killer shortly before he was shot.

Millhouse was shot around 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 26, and died at a hospital later that night. About an hour earlier, two others were wounded in a shootout that police said was unrelated.

In the earlier incident, a 32-year-old man was sitting in a vehicle in the 2000 block of 27th Avenue when a 35-year-old man walked up and shot him. Despite critical injuries he was able to shoot back and injure his assailant, authorities said.
