Man shot in Oakland’s Adams Point area

OAKLAND — A 27-year-old man was in critical condition after he was shot Thursday night  in the Adams Point area, authorities said.

The shooting happened about 7:51p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of Grand Avenue.

Authorities said the man was walking with some friends when he got into an argument with another man who ended up shooting him in the upper torso.  No one else was injured.

The gunman then fled in a vehicle.

Police have not yet said what the argument was about.  No suspect information has been released.
