Juvenile wounded in Berkeley shooting

BERKELEY — A juvenile was shot Tuesday night near Strawberry Creek Park, authorities said.

Police would not say how old the victim is or if they are a male or female.

The shooting was reported about 11:13 p.m. Tuesday outside in the 2200 block of Bonar Street. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg.

Their condition was not available Wednesday.

Police have not said if the shooter was in a vehicle or confronted the victim on the street.

A motive has not yet been released, nor has any suspect information.
