The storm is making conditions very dangerous according to the National Weather Service. People are urged to stay away from beaches, ocean trails and ocean rocks because of strong waves that could sweep them away.

An evacuation warning remains in effect for Bolsa Knolls, but it has been upgraded to an evacuation order for low-lying areas near the Carmel River.

The county reports that for flood prone areas, sand stockpiles are being refreshed for residents to make sandbags. Sand locations are at Garland Park for Carmel Valley residents and Ferrasci Park for Bolsa Knolls.
