Firefighters temporarily close roads as fire tears through home in San Jose

A fire tore through a house Wednesday evening in San Jose, prompting the temporary closure of multiple surrounding streets.

Firefighters were working at about 8 p.m. to extinguish the blaze, which appeared consume a home on the 700 block of Almaden Avenue, according to the San Jose Fire Department. No injuries were reported.

The fire department did not immediately release any information on a suspected cause.

Firefighters are on scene of a full first-alarm at a residential structure fire in the 700 block of Almaden Av. No injuries.

Vine St is closed at Grant. Almaden is closed at Virginia.

Multiple nearby roads were temporarily closed Wednesday evening while firefighters battled the fire, including portions of Almaden Avenue and Vine Street.
