Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week: Kimberly Flores, Cristo Rey basketball

Cristo Rey basketball player Kimberly Flores is the Bay Area News Group’s girls athlete of the week for Feb. 12-17.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Flores had 38.17% to finish ahead of Heritage basketball player Ze’ni Patterson , who was second at 29.77%.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Flores, a senior, scored 25 points in Cristo Rey’s 53-35 victory over University Prep in the CCS playoffs. The sharpshooter made seven 3-pointers in the win.
