Moreau Catholic basketball player Dominic Walker is the Bay Area News Group’s boys athlete of the week for Jan. 29-Feb. 3.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Walker had 31.1% to finish ahead of Mt. Pleasant basketball player Elias Galey, who was second at 21.9%.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Walker, a junior, finished with 30 points as Moreau defeated Washington-Fremont 97-79 in a Mission Valley Athletic League game.
He also combined for 13 points in wins over Kennedy-Fremont and American as Moreau improved to 17-7, 12-0.
