Spencer Pratt Reacts to Lisa Rinna’s Pick for Mayor, “If You’re Against Me, Wait…”

Mayor Karen Bass

Former MTV reality TV star Spencer Pratt (The Hills), who is running as a Republican for Mayor of Los Angeles and was recently praised by former reality TV star President Donald Trump (The Apprentice), is responding to a Variety interview with Lisa Rinna, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.

As seen below, when asked about the mayoral race, Rinna said she “doesn’t know yet” who should be the next mayor, but added, “not a reality star though. I’m sorry, I love him but, we’ve already done that. We’re not going to do that again.”

She added, “Listen, I’m a reality person, you wouldn’t want me as mayor.”

Pratt responded to Rinna by writing: “Hey Lisa, if you’re against me because I was on a TV show in my 20’s, wait til you learn what Karen Bass was doing in her 20’s…” and claimed Bass “was in Cuba learning how to make bombs with the people who would then go bomb Capitol Hill.”

Pratt claimed, “Against my opponent my background is pretty strong.”

Pratt is referring to Bass’s experience as an organizer for the Venceremos Brigade, a pro-Cuban Revolution group that organized trips by Americans to Cuba in the 1970s.

[NOTE: Pratt did not mention Bass’s experience as a community organizer (co-founder of Community Coalition, a South Los Angeles grassroots organization in the 1980s), that she was elected to serve three terms in the California State Assembly, or that she served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives (D-CA) for 11 years before serving as mayor of Los Angeles.]
