Colorado restaurateur Kimbal Musk on Monday addressed his inclusion in a recent release of more files related disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, saying he only met with him once in New York and never visited his island, according to a statement posted on social media.
Musk, who lives in Boulder and is the brother of Elon Musk, has come under scrutiny after his name was mentioned at least 140 times in emails exchanged between Epstein and his associates in documents recently released by the Department of Justice as part of the Epstein files investigation.
Musk “chose not to renew” his membership on the board of directors for Burning Man after his term expired in January, organizers said on Saturday. Event officials said Musk decided to step back from the board before the most recent release of Epstein’s emails.
In a post on X, Musk said his only meeting with “that demon” was in Epstein’s New York office during the day.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
