At a press conference to promote Concordia Hospital’s new spinal surgery extension, when asked by a reporter to comment on rising gas prices due to the U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran, Canada’s Premier of Manitoba Wab Kinew replied: “I hope this war in Iran ends. These gas prices are too high, and kids are being killed for no reason.”
[NOTE: Manitoba is a Canadian province slightly smaller than Texas and home to about 1.5 million people. With manufacturing, aerospace, agriculture and information technology among its chief industries, it has taken a very hard hit from Trump’s trade war tariffs on Canada.]
Kinew added, “Even the Trump administration cannot explain why they are at war with Iran right now. And I mean, like, the Epstein Files right now seems to be as good of a reason as anyone else can figure out, so stop the war.”
Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew says Donald Trump started the Iran War to cover up the Epstein Files.

[Note: Kinew isn’t the only lawmaker to suggest that Trump started the war with Iran to draw attention away from the Epstein Files. U.S. Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) wrote on social media: “Bombing a country on the other side of the globe won’t make the Epstein files go away.” Massie also continues to demand DOJ compliance on a far more comprehensive release of all the files, saying: “The Epstein Files Transparency Act requires DoJ to release memos and emails detailing their decisions of whether to investigate and/or prosecute.”]
Speaking to his constituents, Manitoba’s Kinew added: “We cut the gas tax once, we brought it down permanently afterwards. So we’re going to be there to help you with the cost of living but right now Donald Trump is public enemy number one when it comes to our economy, and the average person trying to keeping your head above waters.”
The war in Iran is causing kids in Canada concern and it’s raising gas prices for the average family.
We stand with Iranian Manitobans hopeful for freedom and everyone who wants safety and stability in the region.
