High school swimming: 4A state meet results from Friday’s preliminaries

The preliminary round of the 4A state swim meet was held at BYU on Friday afternoon with teams and swimmers positioning themselves for Saturday’s finals, which get underway at 10 a.m.

Ridgeline girls and Crimson Cliffs boys are the defending state champs. Both won their respective region champions two weeks ago and will be among the favorites to claim the 4A state championship.

Here’s a list of the top eight qualifiers for Saturday’s finals in each event.
