This is the last week for the OC Fair. Here are some things to know.
General information
• Hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
• General admission is $13 on Wednesday and Thursday and $18 on Friday and weekend; tickets are $9 every day for children 6-12 and $10 for seniors 65 and older.
• Tickets must be purchased ahead online at ocfair.com. Daily attendance is capped at about 55,000 people and the fair tends to sell out on popular days.
• Parking is $15
• OC Fair Express runs this weekend, with direct bus service from the ARTIC station in Anaheim, Fullerton Park-and-Ride, Goldenwest Transportation Center in Huntington Beach, Irvine Train Station, Laguna Hills Transportation Center and the Santa Ana train station. Get information on times and locations at ocfair.com, cost is $2 each way.
Things to do
• Think you know your Orange County trivia? OC Jeopardy! will be hosted at 1, 3 and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15, and at 3 and 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16, on the OC Promenade Stage.
• The Friesian Horse Club of Southern California, Golden West Game Breeders, Urban Chickens and Global Livestock will be exhibiting in the livestock area this week. There will also be goat milking demonstrations.
• Mariach Juvenil will be performing evenings all week on the OC Promenade Stage.
• Fair After Dark is a nightly party that has been taking over at the Plaza Stage at 7:30 p.m. There will be karaoke Wednesday night, country dancing on Thursday, a DJ on Friday, swing dancing on Saturday and Latin nights on Sunday.
