Western San Gabriel Mountains/Highway 14 Corridor, Western Antelope Valley Foothills and Eastern Antelope Valley Foothills were placed under a winter weather advisory by the National Weather Service on Friday at 3:15 a.m. The advisory is in effect until 7 a.m.
“Light to moderate snow accumulations. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph,” can be expected according to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA. “With clearing skies, black ice on mountain roadways will be possible this morning.”
“The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute,” the NWS said. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.”
