Stagecoach 2026: Braison Cyrus talks about his family’s ties to country music

The Stagecoach Country Music Festival isn’t just a family affair for fans in attendance; it’s one for the stars, too.

On Friday, April 24, Noah Cyrus performed at the festival’s Toyota Music Den and featured an appearance by her brother Braison Cyrus and her father Billy Ray Cyrus.

Even before fans caught wind that the show was going to feature some surprise guests, the crowds overflowed into the neighboring Mane Stage. Noah came out to meet her seven-piece band in a tan dress, joining her band, which included a violinist, keyboardist, bassist, an acoustic guitarist, and two electric guitarists.

Despite the crowd’s excitement, Noah’s set was only 30 minutes and featured seven songs. Most of them were from her latest album, “I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me,” where the singer dabbled a bit more in country than in the moody blend of Americana and indie-folk present in her previous work.

She opened her set with “I Saw Mountains,” which was also the opening track of her latest album, followed by “New Country” and “Way of the World.” The next song, “Don’t Put It All on Me,” whose studio version features Fleet Foxes, welcomed Braison for a live duet.

In an interview with Southern California News Group, he said he wrote the song for Noah and has performed it live with her a few times at different music festivals. The song follows his first recorded studio duet, “As Long As You Stay,” with Noah.

“Noah and I have always done everything together,” Braison said. “We were the last two kids together in the house after everybody moved out, so I think just by virtue of us both being the youngest, we’ve always kind of done things together.”

Along with writing for Noah’s record, Braison said the siblings each had a hand in helping their father, Billy Ray Cyrus, on his upcoming album, “The Hill,” set for release on June 16. Braison produced the studio album, which will mark his father’s first release in 14 years, and said it led Noah to jump on the lead single, “On Our Way Along.”

Before Noah closed out her set, she invited her father, Billy Ray and her brother, Braison, to perform the single together. The three of them on stage together drew a massive round of applause and a roar from the crowd during the performance, wrapping up the short but jam-packed set.

As for Braison and his collaborations with family, his latest project, “From Now On,” released on March 13, featured backing vocals by his eldest sister, Miley Cyrus, on “Know This.”

The single recently reached No. 40 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart, marking a special occasion for Braison, who became the latest member of the Cyrus family to land on a Billboard chart.
