A road rage confrontation in Woodland Hills on Friday, July 31 left one man hospitalized with a stab wound and led to the arrest of the suspected attacker nearby.
Officers responded at 9:40 a.m. to a report of a stabbing in the area of Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Mulholland Drive, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police determined the stabbing occurred after two drivers involved in a road rage episode confronted one another at the location. One of the men allegedly stabbed the other, then fled in a dark gray Acura, police said.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel treated the victim at the scene before taking him to a hospital, according to Officer Jeff Miller of the LAPD’s Media Relations Division.
An update on the victim’s condition was not immediately available.
The suspect, described as a man in his mid-30s wearing an orange or yellow hat and a safety uniform, was located about two miles away near Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Dumetz Road and taken into custody, Miller said.
