Fiesta Hermosa, which will run through Monday, has been a fixture in the city for more than five decades — featuring live music, a carnival and much more.

Hermosa Beach Chamber CEO and President Jessica Accamando said she expected this weekend’s crowds to top last year’s 123,000 tally.

The weekend will feature a Memorial Day ceremony set for 2:30 p.m. Monday on the event’s Beach Stage.

The event features live music on multiple stages; a “Makers Mercado,” with more than 200 vendors; the “Garden,” formerly known as the Beer Garden, which will also feature live music; a food fair with a new “Dessert Depot”; and a carnival with rides, games, food trucks, a petting zoo, live music and other activities.

A wine garden adjacent to Uncorked, which is supplying the wine, is a new addition, located at Monterey Boulevard and Pier Avenue.

The “Garden Acoustic Stage” features two shows a day from acts who have performed during the monthly “Songwriter Showcase,” which takes place at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach, over the past year.

For decades, Fiesta Hermosa took place over Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, until the Hermosa Beach chamber, along with the city, decided to downsize the event to only Memorial Day weekend.
