The New York Giants picked UCLA linebacker Darius Muasau with the 183rd overall pick in the sixth round of the NFL draft Saturday.
The Bruins’ defensive captain, who was the team’s top tackler the past two seasons, finished his UCLA career with 26 consecutive starts.
Last season, the 6-foot, 225-pounder recorded a team-high 75 tackles (10.5 for a loss), five stops and an interception. In 2023, he led with 67 tackles.
The All-Pac-12 second-team selection was named LA Bowl Defensive MVP after coming up with 11 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss in the Bruins’ 35-22 victory over Boise State on Dec. 16, 2023, at SoFi Stadium.
