Miguel’s Jr. has new handheld snacks made for dipping

Miguel’s Jr. is introducing two new snacks to its lineup for a limited time.

They’re called Dippers, made with either shredded chicken and cheddar cheese or shredded beef, marinated potatoes, Monteray jack, cilantro, and onion.

Fillings are folded into a six-inch Sonoran flour tortilla, which is then grilled.

Customers get two Dippers for around $8.49. They come with a cup of one of three sauces for dipping: serrano salsa, creamy guac, or sour cream.

There’s also a Double Dipper Box with two Dippers, the choice of seasoned fries or Chunky Guacamole & Chips on the side, and a fountain drink for around $13.49.

Customers can get two of the same Dippers or mix and match.

Miguel’s Jr. is also launching its summer beverage menu with a new Coconut Horchata. It’s bringing back its Strawberry Horchata and its Strawberry Lemonade.

Other current promotions include “Box It,” which will turn any burrito into a combo that includes fries or Chunky Guacamole & Chips and a 22-ounce fountain drink for $5 extra.

There’s also Miguel’s Trio for $8. It includes a traditional or soft taco, a bean and cheese or a beans, rice, and cheese burrito, and a fresh-squeezed lemonade. Customers can upgrade the burrito for $3 extra.

Miguel’s Jr. was founded by Mike and Mary Vasquez in Corona in 1975. It is still a family-owned chain with 23 locations in Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange counties. There is also a full-service restaurant, Miguel’s California Mexican Cocina, in the Shops at Dos Lagos, a lifestyle shopping center on the 15 Freeway in Corona.
