It’s unclear how the fire started, or if anyone has been injured. TV news broadcasts showed enormous flames stretching into the sky as the fire burned through the building.
The fire prompted authorities to close Palos Verdes Drive North between Palos Verdes Drive East in Rolling Hills Estates and Rolling Vista Drive in Lomita.
“We ask that you please stay away from the area and make alternative travel arrangements,” the LA County Sheriff’s Department’s Lomita Station said on social media.
This is a developing story.
