A 27-year-old man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman as she walked home from the gym in Valley Village was arrested, Los Angeles police said.
He was arrested near Burbank Boulevard, west of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, on Monday, Aug. 3 after police received several tips that led to his identification.
He is suspected of following a woman home from a gym and sexually assaulting her on a pedestrian bridge at Laurel Grove Avenue and Valleyheart Drive around 8:30 p.m. on July 19, according to Los Angeles police. He is accused of coming up behind the woman, grabbing her by the hair and pulling her to the ground and assaulting her.
Witnesses interrupted the assault and the suspect fled, police said.
