The Los Angeles Daily News girls basketball Top 15 rankings for February 2, 2026:
1. Sierra Canyon (24-2, 9-0): Sophomore guard Hamiley Arenas transferred from Notre Dame to Sierra Canyon on January 28 and could be eligible as soon as this week. Sierra Canyon will play in the Open Division playoffs next week.
2. Oak Park (17-7, 6-0): UCSB commit Karisma Flores scored her 2,000th career point in a win over Royal. Oak Park suffered two losses last week to very good competition in games against Carondelet and No. 1 Sierra Canyon.
3. Valencia (22-4, 10-0): The Vikings have won seven straight and will wrap up the regular season with two Foothill League rematches against Canyon and Golden Valley. Sophomore guard Kamilla Basyrova scored her 1,000th career point in a win over No. 10 Saugus on January 23.
4. Thousand Oaks (24-3, 8-1): The Lancers suffered their first Marmonte League loss of the season to Westlake on January 27. Thousand Oaks will have its final game of the regular season against Newbury Park on Tuesday before heading into the playoffs.
5. Harvard-Westlake (15-8, 7-2): The Wolverines have won seven of their last eight and will wrap up the regular season on Tuesday with a Mission League game against No. 1 Sierra Canyon.
6. Village Christian (18-7, 6-1): The Crusaders suffered their first Olympic League loss of the season against rivals Heritage Christian on January 31. Village Christian will have its final game of the regular season at Maranatha on Tuesday.
7. Oaks Christian (17-7, 7-2): Oaks Christian will end its season with a Marmonte League rematch on Tuesday against Westlake, with the winner taking sole possession of second place in the Marmonte League.
8. Westlake (16-9, 7-2): Guard Madison McDonald had 19 points in a 46-41 win over Thousand Oaks on January 27.
9. Campbell Hall (15-9, 4-5): Campbell Hall has won three of its last four games, including a 50-40 win over Palisades on January 31. Campbell Hall will end its regular season Monday night with a Gold Coast League rematch against Crossroads.
10. Saugus (19-8, 9-2): Saugus will end its regular season Monday night with a Foothill League matchup against Golden Valley. With a win, the Centurions would clinch second place in the league.
11. Birmingham (17-3, 2-0): The Patriots are one of the hottest teams in the area, having won nine straight games. Birmingham will have three more West Valley League games this week to end the regular season before heading into the City Section open division playoffs.
12. Alemany (18-8, 7-0): Freshman guard Kyla Lea has continued to excel for Alemany, averaging 29.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. The Warriors made headlines last week, with a controversial 124-3 win over Flintridge Sacred Heart in Angelus League play.
13. Granada Hills Charter (18-7, 6-1): Granada Hills has a big West Valley League rematch Monday against Birmingham. Birmingham won the first matchup on January 21, 55-51.
14. Notre Dame (12-9, 1-3): Notre Dame has had a tough go as of late, losing three of four, and losing Hamiley Arenas to Sierra Canyon. MaZiya Randolph is averaging 15.5 points and 13 rebounds per game this season for the Knights.
15. Heritage Christian (14-14, 5-3): Heritage Christian enters the rankings after ending its regular season with a 38-37 win over rivals Village Christian on Saturday.
