In-N-Out Burger has released a line of merchandise paying tribute to drag racing.
The “Flying Dutchman Racing” collection was inspired by In-N-Out Owner and President Lynsi Snyder and her drag racing team, according to a statement from the Irvine-based fast food chain.
“Flying Dutchman” is a nickname for Snyder’s father, the late Guy Snyder, who led the company before her. It is also the name of an item on In-N-Out’s “secret menu,” which consists of two meat patties and two slices of cheese without a bun.
Guy andSnyder loved drag racing, as Lynsi Snyder stated in her history of the chain, “The Ins-N-Outs of In-N-Out Burger.” It was published a few days before In-N-Out’s 75th anniversary on Oct. 22, marked by a 12-hour festival at the In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip.
When Lynsi started racing at the age of 18, she wanted to race under Guy’s name in his memory, according to the company.

The collection ranges from $2 stickers, one depicting a car Lynsi Snyder has driven at the dragstrip, to $20 hats, tanks and T-shirts and a $45 hoodie.
They can be purchased online or in person at the In-N-Out Company Store at 13800 Francisquito Ave., Baldwin Park, where the company was founded in 1948.
Net proceeds from purchases will support the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation, a non-profit set up by Lynsi Snyder and her husband Sean Ellingson to combat drug addiction and human trafficking.
The dragstrip, which is part of the Fairplex, will be the site of the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals, March 21-24.
