Experts gather to help small businesses rebuild in aftermath of Eaton fire

The Altadena Chamber of Commerce & Civic Association in partnership with the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation hosted a resource fair for Eaton fire survivors at the Altadena Community Center, offering grant information and advice for people rebuilding their homes.

The January 2025 Eaton Fire killed at least 19 people and destroyed more than 9,000 homes, schools and businesses. Many home and business owners are still struggling to rebuild in the aftermath of the massive fire.

The event, aimed to help small businesses rebuild within the fire footprint, gathered experts from many organizations, including Los Angeles County, the UCLA Latino Policy & Politics Institute, SCORE, Operation HOPE and Chase Bank.
