Dodgers’ game rained out, doubleheader set for Sunday at Yankee Stadium

NEW YORK — Storms rolling through the East Coast dumped enough rain on the Bronx to postpone Saturday’s game between the Dodgers and New York Yankees.

The rain stopped briefly Saturday afternoon but was expected to return by game time. The decision to postpone the game was made by MLB a few hours before the scheduled first pitch.

The postponed game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader Sunday at Yankee Stadium.

The first game will start at 9:30 a.m. PT, televised on SportsNet LA, with the second game at the regularly scheduled 4:20 p.m. start time on NBC/Peacock.

Right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto was scheduled to start Sunday and will start the first game. The starter for the night game is TBD. Right-hander Emmet Sheehan was scheduled to start Saturday’s postponed game.

SNELL REHAB

Left-hander Blake Snell began his minor-league injury-rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City Saturday night by facing six batters and striking out four of them.

Snell threw 32 pitches in 1 1/3 innings, gave up one hit and walked a batter. It was Snell’s first game action since his only start of the season on May 9.

Snell started the season late due to shoulder inflammation that persisted from the 2025 season. After his one start in May, he underwent surgery to remove loose bodies from his elbow.

He is expected to make three to five rehab starts before rejoining the Dodgers’ rotation.
