Altadena gets some much-needed laughs as Netflix is a Joke fest lands in town

The good vibes were all around on Tuesday night in Altadena, as the Neflix is A Joke Festival came to town.

It was “Comedy for the Community” inside a full building at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 719 on Woodbury Road as an array of comedians, including Jeff Ross, took to the stage.

The festival makes use of venues throughout the Los Angeles area, featuring an array of talents. Altadena’s run will continue to Friday, May 8, hosted by Deon Cole.

The run in Altadena supports Altadena and Eaton fire relief, including the recovery of businesses in the area.

The event featured the presence of several local vendors, including Rhythms of the Village, Pure Envy Candle Co., Third In Line Jewelry, Just 2 Nice, Octavia’s Bookshelf, April Blooms Boutique, BLK Crust, Fair Oaks Burger and others.

And there was also a deejay pumping out tunes.

Organizers say there are some “surprise” guests in store for the event, though it’s sold out for the remaining nights.
