Altadena Forever Run raised more than $150,000 in Eaton fire relief

The first check of about $102,000 represented funds from sponsorships and registration fees. The second check made up of direct donations made by participants during registration was more than $17,000.

More than 3,000 people participated in the 10K, 5K, 1K on Jan. 4. Two-thirds of the funds raised will go toward the Altadena Eaton Fire Relief Fund, which provides direct grants to fire survivors. The remaining one-third will support the Sheriff’s Support Group of Altadena.
