Adare Manor romps in Santa Margarita Stakes at Santa Anita

Adare Manor has a new winning streak after she and Juan Hernandez led from start to finish Sunday at Santa Anita to win easily in the $200,000, Grade II Santa Margarita Stakes at 1-9 odds in a four-horse field.

The 5-year-old mare, who won the 2023 Santa Margarita during a five-race streak, has two victories in a row this year, having taken the Apple Blossom Handicap at Oaklawn Park in Arkansas in April.

Coffee in Bed was second, Hennys Crazy Train third, Super Shine last on Sunday.

Winning trainer Bob Baffert has favorites in two of the three graded stakes on the holiday card Monday at Santa Anita, with Mr Fisk (2-1 on the morning line) as well as Reincarnate (fourth on the line at 4-1) in the Hollywood Gold Cup, and Du Jour (3-1) in the Shoemaker Mile.
