WWE Drops Massive Brock Lesnar News Ahead of WrestleMania 42

With less than six weeks before WrestleMania 42, WWE issued huge news about Brock Lesnar on Monday’s episode of Raw in Seattle, Washington.

The Beast last appeared on WWE television on the February 23 episode of Raw in Atlanta, Georgia. He came out with his advocate, Paul Heyman, just like at the Royal Rumble. Heyman then issued an open challenge for anyone who wants to face Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.

There are several names rumored to be facing Lesnar at the biggest WWE event of the year, including LA Knight, Gunther and Oba Femi.

Lesnar’s Next WWE Appearance Announced

Before Raw’s final segment, Michael Cole confirmed that Lesnar is set to appear next week at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. It’s unclear what The Beast has planned for the show. His advocate is dealing with injuries from Seth Rollins‘ attack last week.

In addition to Lesnar, Roman Reigns will also be making his third appearance since winning the 2026 Royal Rumble match. He’s expected to confront CM Punk for bringing up his dead father, Sika of The Wild Samoans, during their heated segment last week in Indianapolis.

There are also two matches announced for next week. AJ Lee will defend the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Bayley, who won the No. 1 Contender’s Gauntlet Match on Monday.

The Original El Grande Americano and El Grande Americano are also set to clash for the first time. The Original El Grande was cursed by Danhausen on Monday, while El Grande failed to beat Penta for the Intercontinental Title.

Lesnar Possibly Retiring Later This Year

Since returning last year at SummerSlam, there have been rumors that 2026 could be Lesnar’s final year as an active in-ring performer. The speculation is that The Beast might retire at SummerSlam. The event will be held in Minneapolis, a city that means a lot to his life and career.

According to Ibou of Self Made Sessions, Lesnar and Heyman are reportedly aware that the WWE Universe wants to see a match against Oba Femi and Gunther.

However, Lesnar is only willing to lose in his retirement match.

“They know that the audience wants Oba,” Ibou said, via Inside The Ropes. “Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman essentially have communicated to WWE and WWE Creative that Brock should not job until his retirement.”

Ibou added that WWE is stuck between a rock and a hard place since Gunther and Oba Femi need the win against Lesnar. It’s one of the rumored reasons Knight was considered as for The Beast at WrestleMania 42.

Oba Femi Wants to Face Lesnar

In an interview with TV Insider, Oba Femi revealed his desire to face Lesnar. He also teased the possibility of ending the legendary superstar’s career.

“What a run for him,” Femi said. “He had two separate runs, and they’ve both been fantastic. It would be really cool to face him. I know the fans have been asking for that match. It’s going to happen one day soon.”

Femi and Lesnar had an intense face-off at the Royal Rumble. They never got into a huge brawl, which is why fans are clamoring to see the match at WrestleMania 42.
