Multiple fire crews are responding to a wildfire burning on the south end of the U.S. Air Force Academy grounds near Colorado Springs.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department is assisting the Academy’s fire response teams, Academy spokesperson Katherine Spessa said. The fire is burning west of the Pine housing area; residents are being asked to avoid the fire area, but Spess said no one is being evacuated as of 2:30 p.m.

Spessa could not provide the fire’s size or how many fire crews were responding.
At least four Colorado Springs fire crews were responding, according to a fire department post on X.
