Weezer is heading out on tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band’s blockbuster self-titled debut, which is commonly referred to as the “Blue Album.”
The alt-rock outfit will be playing the 1994 offering — which often is listed among the best albums of the ’90s — on each stop on the Voyage to the Blue Planet tour.
Weezer will also be accompanied by two awesome support acts — The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr.
The road show makes two stops in Northern California — Oct. 8 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento and Oct. 9 at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. March 15, weezer.com. Fans can sign up for the band’s mailing list to get access to presale tickets at 12 noon March 13. There is also a presale for Citi cardmembers that runs from 9 a.m. March 13 to 10 p.m. March 14, www.citientertainment.com.
