VJ Edgecombe Injury: 76ers Star Exits Game Immediately After Scary Fall vs Celtics

Philadelphia 76ers star VJ Edgecombe took a scary-looking fall in the first quarter of tonight’s Game 2 versus the Boston Celtics.

Edgecombe, 20, fell harshly to the ground after attempting to corral a rebound over Celtics big man Neemias Quetta.

Edgecombe fell squarely on his back and was slow to get back up as play continued. He limped back to the locker room and appeared to be in significant pain.

The 20-year-old Philadelphia star missed multiple games earlier this year with back trouble.

Edgecombe has moved into more of a featured role after star big man Joel Embiid was diagnosed with appendicitis earlier this month.

The Sixers are currently trailing the Celtics as the first quarter winds down.

This story will be updated once an injury update on Edgecombe is provided.
