DiVincenzo did not return to the game.

DiVincenzo is expected to miss the entire series and anything beyond that. As for Anthony Edwards, his knee injury is severe enough to have him week-to-week with a chance to return at some point during the playoff run. It’s unclear if Edwards will get a chance to face Wembanyama and the Spurs at all.

For that, Wembanyama is disappointed, as he claims that the injuries are unfortunate to see, although it benefits the Spurs.

“They go hard. It’s funny because I’m not thinking about these guys because I don’t hate them by any means, but any guy getting hurt around the league, I’m completely against having any negative feelings towards my opponents. It always breaks my heart when I see somebody get hurt.”

The last time Edwards took the court was during Game 4 on April 25. He checked in for 17 minutes and suffered a knee injury, which held him out for the final two games. The Timberwolves lost their first Edwards-less game on April 27, with a score of 125-113.

When the Timberwolves and the Nuggets met on April 30, the Timberwolves stunned the Nuggets with a 110-98 victory. The road gets more difficult for the Timberwolves, who will face the second-seeded Spurs.

In three games during the 2025-2026 NBA season, the Timberwolves won twice. Their last outing, which took place on January 17, was a three-point win for the Spurs.
