USA vs. Venezuela Odds, Predictions, How to Watch WBC Final

The World Baseball Classic final is set. Team USA will take on Venezuela in a clash to see which country reigns supreme in the sport of baseball. There are so many storylines to fit into this one game, but for what we know now, the USA will run out Nolan McLean to start the final game, and Venezuela’s Eduardo Rodriguez is set to take the ball opposite McLean.

How did both teams get here? The USA knocked off Canada and the Dominican Republic to advance to the WBC final, and Venezuela defeated the reigning WBC champions in Japan a few nights ago, and then defeated Team Italy last night.

There’s a lot to dive into for this WBC final, but here are some key details about the matchup, and betting odds/predictions for the last World Baseball Classic game for another three years.

USA vs. Venezuela Odds

The United States comes into this game as a semi-large favorite, which feels fitting because this will be the toughest test that Venezuela will face this tournament. Team USA already knocked off the DR, who most thought were the best team in the WBC.

USA vs. Venezuela Prediction

Prediction: USA becomes the WBC champion for the first time since 2017. Nolan McLean getting the start may be the only worrisome factor for this USA team, but if Mason Miller is available to pitch, which all reports say he is, expect DeRosa to throw him in to pitch in either the eighth or ninth inning. Miller has been flat-out unhittable for Team USA this WBC, and I don’t expect that to change.

For as good a lineup as Venezuela has, their pitching might be running a little bit thin, which is a huge benefit for the sluggers of the USA like Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh, Kyler Schwarber, and Bryce Harper.

However, Venezuela’s team chemistry almost feels unmatched, and with Ronald Acuña Jr, Maikel Garcia, Eugenio Suarez, and Wilyer Abreu. They’ve made big swings and recorded huge outs all tournament, which should make for an instant classic WBC final.
