On Saturday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves are playing the Denver Nuggets (at home) for Game 4 of their first-round playoff series.

Anthony Edwards had five points and three rebounds while shooting 1/8 from the field in his first 18 minutes of playing time.

However, he left the game with an injury.

UPDATE: ESPN’s Shams Charania reported the latest.

Charania wrote: “And Anthony Edwards is set to undergo tests on his injured left knee. He had been playing through runner’s knee in his other knee. The Timberwolves starting guards sustain injuries in the first half tonight in Game 4 against Denver.”

The Timberwolves have now announced that Edwards has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Timberwolves PR wrote: “Anthony Edwards (Left Knee Injury) is OUT for the remainder of the game.”

The status of Edwards will be one of the biggest topics in the NBA playoffs going forward.

The All-Star guard finished the regular season with averages of 28.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 48.9% from the field and 39.9% from three-point range in 61 games.

ESPN’s Anthony Slater wrote: “Ayo Dosunmu and Mike Conley starting in place of Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo to open the second half. Timberwolves lost their starting backcourt in the first half of Game 4.”
