UFC Vegas 120 fighter Jessie Rosas, who was set to make his UFC debut, explained why he was forced to withdraw from the card at late notice.
As first reported by Heavy.com’s Marcel Dorff, Rosas was forced to pull out of his featherweight fight for Saturday’s UFC Vegas 120 card against Miles Johns. In his place steps in Gianni Vazquez, who returns to the UFC on extremely short notice after losing to Javid Basharat in his promotional debut earlier this year and immediately being released due to missing weight.
While we did not know at first why Rosas was forced out of the contest, now we know why.

Taking to his social media, Rosas explained why he had to withdraw from Saturday’s UFC Vegas 120 card.
âSo as you guys know I was forced to pull out due to a glove scratch on the forehead. I tried doing everything in my hands to try to keep this fight even got approved by two different doctors but at the end of the day the ufc doctor has the last call. Sorry to all the people that wanted to see me fight Iâm upset on how things played out especially this close to the fight but (expletive) it things happen for a reason the only thing I can do is just stay ready, my time will come,â Rosas wrote on his Instagram stories.

UFC Vegas 120 Takes Last-Minute Hit
With the cancellation of Johns vs. Rosas, the UFC Vegas 120 fight card scheduled for Saturday took a last-minute hit, as fans were very excited to see Rosas, the brother of UFC bantamweight contender Raul Rosas Jr., make his promotional debut.
Unfortunately, it will have to wait, but hopefully he can heal up and get back into the Octagon very soon.
In the meantime, UFC Vegas 120 will still go forward with 12 fights. The main event is a five-round lightweight bout between Mateusz Gamrot and Quillan Salkilld, while Diego Ferreira takes on Billy Quarantillo in an exciting lightweight co-main event that could be Fight of the Night.
