Tyler Reddick Wins Kansas Pole, Sets Pace for AdventHealth 400

Tyler Reddick will lead the field to green Sunday at Kansas Speedway after delivering a blistering lap to win the Busch Light Pole Award for the AdventHealth 400.

The pole sets the starting lineup for Sunday’s race at the 1.5-mile Kansas Speedway.

Reddick turned a lap of 29.142 seconds (185.300 mph) in his No. 45 23XI Racing Toyota, securing his 14th career Cup Series pole and third of the 2026 season.

Toyota Shows Strength at the Front of the Field

Toyota showed strong speed in qualifying, placing four cars inside the top five.

Denny Hamlin will start second after a lap of 185.179 mph, followed by last week’s Bristol Motor Speedway winner Ty Gibbs in third at 184.982 mph. Defending Kansas spring winner Kyle Larson posted an identical 184.982 mph lap to qualify fourth, with Chase Briscoe rounding out the top five at 184.938 mph.

The performance backed up what teams showed earlier in the day, with Toyota drivers consistently near the top of the speed charts.

Top 10 Starting Lineup for Kansas

Behind the top five, several contenders secured strong starting positions for Sunday:

  • Carson Hocevar — 6th
  • Chris Buescher — 7th
  • Daniel Suárez — 8th
  • Ryan Blaney — 9th
  • Bubba Wallace — 10th

The mix of manufacturers inside the top 10 sets up a competitive field heading into race day.

Notable Qualifying Results Across the Field

Several high-profile drivers will have ground to make up when the green flag drops.

Chase Elliott qualified 13th, while Hendrick Motorsports teammate William Byron will start 14th. Joey Logano lines up 15th, with Brad Keselowski back in 21st.

Practice Speeds Hint at Race-Day Strategy

Earlier Saturday, Reddick also showed speed in practice, posting a top speed of 182.685 mph in a session where Toyota drivers again led the way.

Bubba Wallace was second-fastest at 182.033 mph, followed by Hamlin (181.421 mph), Briscoe (180.959 mph) and Gibbs (180.349 mph).

Reddick led the five-, 15- and 20-lap averages, while Christopher Bell posted the fastest 25- and 30-lap averages — a key indicator that long-run speed could play a major role Sunday.

What to Watch When the Green Flag Drops

While Reddick starts from the pole, Kansas Speedway has consistently produced races where long-run performance matters more than starting position.

Tire falloff, clean air and track position will all be critical over extended green-flag runs, especially with multiple drivers showing strong pace in both qualifying and practice.

With several contenders starting near the front and others deeper in the field, strategy and execution are expected to play a major role in determining the outcome of the AdventHealth 400.
