Two road workers injured in Interstate 70 crash near Wheat Ridge

Two roadside workers were seriously injured in a crash on eastbound Interstate 70 near Ward Road on Tuesday morning, according to the Wheat Ridge Police Department.

Officers responded to the crash at 11:20 a.m. and shut down several lanes of I-70, the department posted on X.

The two workers were taken to a hospital with serious bodily injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening, Wheat Ridge police said.

Police are investigating the crash and all drivers involved stayed at the scene.
