Two mail carriers robbed at gunpoint in Denver’s Montbello neighborhood

Two mail carriers were robbed at gunpoint Monday in Denver’s Montbello neighborhood, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service is investigating.

Both robberies occurred between 4:45 and 5:15 p.m., according to USPIS team leader Jeffrey Korman. The first was on the 4600 block of Eureka Court and the second at Bolling Drive and Duluth Court. A home security system videoed at least three suspects leaving the area in a white Hyundai Sonata. As of Tuesday afternoon , the USPIS is investigating several leads and will not disclose what the suspects stole.

Korman says this is “not the first time” he’s encountered an armed robbery of postal workers and that these incidents occur nationwide.

The USPIS is offering a $150,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call 877-876-2455 and reference the Denver robberies.
