Two girls missing out of Brighton may be with ‘unknown Hispanic males,’ CBI says

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public’s help locating two young girls last seen in Brighton, according to the agency.

The girls, 12-year-old Briana Rivas-Alvarez, and 13-year-old Omarlys “Sophie” Rojas-Ramos, were last seen on foot at 8 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Jessup St. in Brighton, according to a Thursday social media post from CBI.

Rivas-Alvarez was described as being 5 feet 2 inches tall, 110 pounds and Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes. The 12-year-old was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black sweatshirt, CBI said.

Rojas-Ramos was described as being 5 feet 2 inches tall, 100 pounds and Hispanic with brown eyes and black hair. The 13-year-old was last seen wearing a yellow crop top and blue jeans, CBI said.

The law enforcement agency said the girls may be with “unknown Hispanic males.”


CBI said law enforcement is concerned for the girls’ safety. If seen, call 911 or the Brighton Police Department at 303-288-1535.
